Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1997, André Lamoglia began his career in 2014 at Tablado, an important improvisation and drama school in Brazil, and the next year he participated in the play Cinderela. In the play, with script by the late actor, playwright, and film critic José Wilker, the actor played the co-protagonist, the Prince.
Not long after that, he got his first work on television in 2016, playing Rafa Smor, the lead role in the show Juacas, a hit by Disney Channel. In the same year, he participated in the telenovela Rock Story, broadcast by Rede Globo, and in 2017 he participated in the show DPA on Gloob, Um Contra Todos on Fox, and Segredos de Justiça on Globo, where he played Tomaz, Andrea Pachá’s (Glória Pires) son.
During the first half of 2018, André fully dedicated to studying English and acting in Los Angeles, California. Months later he was cast in a prominent role in Eu Sou Mais Eu, a movie that won the prize Grande Prêmio de Cinema Brasileiro 2020 in the “Popular Vote” category. Also in 2018, the artist returned to shoot the second season of the show Juacas. This Disney Channel show, which aired in 2019, was nominated for the International Emmy the following year in the category “Kids” and granted our actor a nomination to Nickelodeon Brazil Kids’ Choice Awards as “male TV Artist”. Engaged in social and environmental causes, André was chosen to represent Disney in the global Nat Geo Run campaign by National Geographic. The project, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina sought to spread sustainable attitudes to raise awareness of the environmental impact of human action, and suggested substantial changes to everyday habits that contributed to leaving a better world to future generations.
Going from one job to the next, Andrew was invited to play Luan in Disney Bia, a show that aired in over 40 countries throughout Latin America and Europe, won in the category “Favorite TV Show” in Nickelodeon Brazil Kids’ Choice Awards 2020, was nominated for the Kids’ Choice Awards 2020 in Mexico, and whose first album was nominated for the Gardel Awards (the most important award of the Argentine record industry).
Showing all his talent and versatility, the actor is preparing to play Iván, son of the world’s biggest soccer star, when Netflix releases Season 5 of Élite.
